Layla Eplett is Director of Research for Murphy Strategics. Prior to joining, she spent several years as a journalist and researcher working in diverse regions including the Middle East and East Africa. Her primary focus was the intersection between science, culture, and politics. Her writing has been recognized for its objectivity and ability to understand the broader picture. It has been featured in various publications including Scientific American, National Public Radio, and academic journals.

In addition, Layla has a background in international development, working on projects such as repatriation in post-conflict zones, socio-economic empowerment for vulnerable and marginalized groups, as well as reproductive health and human rights. She has a Master’s in Social Anthropology of Development from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
